Connie Chovan

Connie's love for dogs began at the age of five when she welcomed her first dog, a Basenji, into her life. Her passion for dog training was formalized in 1995 when she joined a local dog club. Throughout her journey, she has taken on various roles, including serving as a Board Member in the capacity of Recording Secretary, and volunteering her time and expertise.

With her two rescue dogs, Sasha and Athena, Connie has actively participated in numerous dog sports such as Scentwork, Urban Locating, Tracking, Rally, AKC Temperament Test (ATT), Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA), and Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU).

Currently, Connie holds the position of Membership Director for SDDSC and feels privileged to be a part of an amazing group of members, trainers and board members. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity to grow the club and engage members in contributing by volunteering and joining committees. Through feedback from volunteers and committee members, Connie is dedicated to gathering input and recommendations for various club business activities and events, ensuring a vibrant and active dog community!
